Heyo, Being still new to the Malifaux scene this Black Friday day sale is interesting. Some of the models are in different color plastic? Why is that? Do people just paint over them anyway? Also, the stuff that is a 'pre-release', where can I find out about them? How long before they get released to the game stores and such? Raider30, Beau You don't have to paint over them. In fact, official rules state they can be placed on a base and count as painted for any tournament. You can also paint part of the models and leave some clear or colored. The sale is a just something they do every year. The colored versions are just alt version to make some more money. Sometimes you can find the release date for the items normally. Sometimes they are just a month early sometimes a few months. If you would like in on the order, I am sure we can fit you in.

Shikome $16, Orange Kaeris $50, Insidious Madness $24, Aionus x5 ($15) $75, Trans Lynch $50, Sammy LaCroix $11, Bayou Gators $24. That would put us at $250 almost at $300 level and all 4 specials!

So semi transparent on the clear ones. In the past on boxes like Pandora's people would paint some but just dry brush the Sorrows who are more spirit like. Same with Rasputina's box, they would paint Raspy but just a little work on the ice gamin and golem so they stay mostly blue transparent. Makes them look more ghostly or icy. For Kaeris I imagine you could paint alot of her leaving some orange and give it a light red wash so stuff like her wings look like they are burning. For Lynch's box you could have the parts of the Illuminated that are covered in Brilliance transparent, Hungering Darkness, and then Lynch's ghost. If you look at the link at the top you can see what is available, and here is the link to their Upcoming release page www.wyrd-games.net/upcoming-releasesSo some of it is coming out January, some February, but stuff like the Bayou Gators and Insidious Maddnesses are not even up so they are later then February for a release date. Thus why they are so big on my list as it may be 4-5 months from now before we see them. Generally about half or more of the pre-release are available in 1-3 months time, but you always get a couple that go longer. You just sort of have to eyeball the release and the list to see what you can.

I've already jumped in pretty hard with Malifaux and should probably work on getting units assembled and painted before adding any more in. Though I don't know which of the units are guild, the Guild Hounds unit sounds like one I'll eventually get. But in all honest if i can wait 2-4 months and then get them and not have to pay retail pricing(which it seems like the 'sale' is retail pricing') than I can have some patience. Thanks, - Raider30, Beau

Ok, anyone wanting in on the Black Friday special need to bring out money tonight to the Game Shoppe during Malifaux. Looks like I will place the order to add a little more to it and get my free models. I got the order from Harley Dan and money. Anyone else, tonight is last call.
