Hello, I stopped into Dragon's Lair this morning looking for a new game to play. Justin was nice enough to show me Malifaux and I am interested in getting started. I don't have much time right now but plan to have plenty coming up in the next few months. I may not be able to play every Saturday (I work Saturday night e/o week) but I would be able to make most. How many players do you guys have on a weekly basis? Are there ever any tournaments available with prizes?

Welcome to the forums! Right now we have between 4 and 6 players weekly. We just had a tournament with prizes yesterday; it was an event combined with the Malifaux players from Lincoln, 10 person turnout. We'll be back at the Lair next week if you want to stop in. I'm sure Antonio (our local Henchman), or any of us, really, would love to give you a demo. |

Hello Everyone,
I am very interested in trying Malifaux and was looking for a group locally that played. I came a crossed your site through Google. I go to Dragon's lair all the time. Do you have any recommendations on how to get started? I am a Magic the gathering and board game player but this will be my first miniatures game. I may have a couple friends interested in checking it out as well. Also with the recent accident on Blondo, are you guys playing any place else or are you waiting to see what happens with Blondo?

Greetings and welcome to the forums. It is a sad event that happen to the lair, as for now, I am not sure what the group wants to do, I am hoping to get some input from them this week. Keep an eye on the forums for updates. As for malifaux, you picked a great game to get started in miniature gaming with. Low cost to get started and very fun, one of my favorite games. First thing I recommend is trying out a demo and then check out the factions. Look over the models and get an idea of what you would like to paint and play with. Many of the new plastic box set are the best to start with as they contain a good crew. I will try and keep you up to date on what is going on.

Hiya, I'm new to Omaha and am thinking about picking up Malifaux. I currently play Warma/Hordes and have dabbled in 40k(but didn't like it).
I'm currently leaning towards Arcanists, but as I faction hopped my way across 6 different armies in the first 6 months of playing WarmaHordes I'll probably dabble in them all except Resurectionists.

Welcome to the group Jeratoll! Many in the group play more than one faction, sometimes playing a master or two. We will be out at the Lair this weekend so feel free to drop in and check it out.

Hi, everybody
I'm Dan, the guy who shows up a couple of weekends then disappears for a few months. Had fun watching everybody play Mofo and thanks to the new plastic glue, my Viktoria crew is assembled (even the ronins with the crazy thin wrist to sword joint) so I will bring something in for the 26th. I'd even let Mike beat me up for a game! No tears, I promise!

Hello everyone! I wanted to say thank you to the two Mikes and the other gamer that was there (sorry I forgot your name). I have been wanting to play this game for a long time, so I picked up the new rule book. Last night I looked all over for my Malifaux figs but they were no where to be found. The Wyrd miniature site had the box set I wanted so I ordered it and will bring it with me next Saturday.
