You should bring some Cygnar warjacks too so that you can drop them out of the Millenium Falcon and wreck on Khorgus Khul.

I got some trade for doing the AoS demo, was thinking about getting the X Wing starter. What do you guys think? I mean, I know you guys are not a big fan of the game, but maybe once and a while we could try it out? Or would it be a waste?

In all fairness, if you're only looking to play at the Lair, you might be better off choosing a faction and picking up some other stuff besides the starter.

Yes, the starter may be unnecessary. How much is it, though, $40? It's a pretty good value for 3 ships plus all the other stuff.
It depends on how much credit you've got, if you want the core components, and if you plan to focus on a faction. If you're going scum, just get the core scum box since the starter ships do nothing for you. If you're going Imperial (which is a wise choice), get the core because 2 TIE Fighters. If you're going Rebel (which is really no different from being scum), could go either way. You probably want those base X-Wing pilots like Luke, though.

Well, I would like to have my own set of markers and what not, and I do plan on playing the Imperial. Maybe I will get the starter, only problem is, I don't see myself getting anything extra for a while. Maybe I will wait to get at least an extra ship.
