So now to expand from my weapon list, I have an armor list. I took a very different approach to armor than what the book had as while I liked the whole idea of the Protected on certain items, I did not like the mix and matching aspect and that much of the armor was... well knight or man at arm armor. Instead I wanted to go a more store driven approach to what the items are.
Armor
Armor in Malifaux might be the only thing between the user and certain death. While heavy metal full body armor is uncommon through the Breach lighter less cumbersome but still very durable options exist. Because of this the armor trade is almost as large as the weapon trade in Malifaux.
Reinforced Armor
Reinforced armor provides some of the best protection that an individual can afford. What accounts though as a reinforced armor varies by production. Chainmail shirts, metal plated breastplates, alchemically treated leather, or exotic bone crafted protection are all examples of reinforced armor. A common sight of this is the armor that the Guild Guard wears during their duties.
-Armor +1
Padded Armor
Heavy leather duster, studded jacket, or a padded reinforced aviator coat are all examples of padded armor. This armor offer a level of protection while not restricting the wearer too much. It is rare for those expecting trouble not to drop the script for this sort of protection. Due to the popularity many clothing shops sell these in addition to their normal wear.
-Trigger: Protected (Tome/Df). This model immediately gains an additional Armor +1 for the duration of the Action.
Stealth Wear
Less commonly seen, armor designed for stealth and to avoid being spotted is still somewhat common. Thieves, criminals, vigilantes, or spies often use these clothing to try and avoid detection. This rarely gives much in the way of protection from harm but instead avoiding danger or give the opportunity to striking first.
-Trigger: With the Shadows (Mask/Stealth). Add +2 to the final duel total.
Buckler
Small but still effective these shields are often around the size of a dinner plate. Designed to give some protection while not adding to much bulk many bucklers are used by duelists for their off hands.
-Shield +1. Trigger: Parry (Mask/Df): Increase final duel total by +1 for each Mask.
Heater Shield
Bigger than Bucklers, Heaters protect most of its user upper body and head. Unlike the buckler the heater has more mass can often have a large stud or spike on the shield to use as a secondary weapon or in retaliation when attacked.
-Deflecting, Shield +1. Trigger: Bash (Ram/Df): After another model misses this model with a Ml Action, the defender deals 0/1/2 damage to the attacker. This damage flip may not be cheated.
Kite Shield
-Deflecting, Shield +2
