I will likely not bring my stuff this saturday as I am making bases for everything. Also painting a test model. Maybe the following Saturday. Will not mind watching a bit though.

I played the demo at Adepticon, not sure if you did at all, but it is some what straight forward. I am not too sad for not getting the book, the rules themselves are like 20 pages. The rest is a story!

Check over what I ordered, and I have every Teknes model but one from the whole faction.

I never got a chance. I had Malifaux during the hayday of each day but Sunday.
I have already read the rules twice, ya they are pretty simple. But I need me some Non-Slitted bases for pressing. When Court does his Miniature Market Order I am going to order enough to cover my Wrath of Kings.

Damn, you are not kidding. Those bases are DEEP. I got to do something. Base stamp at the least. Mike, I am not missing anything, I just didn't order one model.

Ok, I will not be playing Wrath of Kings tomorrow, those bases are driving me crazy and I am not going to just glue them in. Need something cheap to fill them with.

Maddening isn't it? I can think of a couple options. The first is to use the stuff I use for Terrain, The first is to buy some cheaper millputty from Hobby Lobby. The stuff I have for terrain and what not is 7.99 and I have not used the entire thing yet *got around 25-30 percent left*. I use it to fill in the slot on the old Malifaux slitted bases before press molding on top. I also use it to form the base on some of my terrain stuff.
Second would be to use a second rate two part risen or something and pour it into the bases to the desired level so that it rises to the level you want. For this or the first option you could even put a washer or something in the bottom of the base first to give it more weight.
Third option would be if you were interested in doing a sandy base as the ground work. You could get a bottle of Elmer's Craft Bond Tacky Glue, and a bag of train basing. Water down the Elmer's glue a bit and pour it into the bases, then fill with some sand basing. Should make a fairly solid ground and fill the base.
Fourth option is I have some Black Lava, Grey Pumice, or Heavy Gel from vallejo that might do the trick. Will bring an example piece saturday for you to see.

Well this is more out to Mike. Read through the rules for Wrath of Kings again and then took a look at their FAQ thread on Cool Mini or Not. Man what a mess that forum is, they really need to build an FAQ like other games and post it on their site. Be alot easier to figure things out.
So those things we were trying to figure out; 1) As far as I can tell you can resolve each model's action seperately during the combine activation. So yes you can have your models attack one at a time, you don't have to combine. Some of their older rules required it.
2) Looking through the rules for Disengaging, it only counts when you are in base contact, not if you are engaging. So having a reach on your melee does not prevent or interact with disengaging unless you are in base contact. Also from what I can tell, no clear rule yet, but you are not engaged unless you are in base to base, which means if true even if you have 2" on a melee attack you might not be engaging those that you are fighting. Trying to figure it out in posts *apparently this comes from some issues with rule changes*. Though it does not make alot of sense as some abilities trigger when you are in contact with models and some engage when you are engaged.
3) There is a rule about when you declare an attack action all parts even rolled sperately are simutantous, but moves like Leap are Special Actions that generate attack actions. The Rules and FAQ as far as I can tell say nothing in this regard. Kind of annoying really.
4) Models cannot sprint if they are engaged unless a rule says otherwise. So if you have your Alpha inspire your wolves, they kill something then use their weapon's ability to move 2" and do a 1 melee attack, if they fail to kill that second model they cannot sprint out of combat. You cannot take the sprint action if you are engaged and nothing in Stalker lets you still do so.
5) Also found in the rules you can go to Negative Morale, and the person with the lowest Morale loses. So if you reduce someone to 0 they can win by reducing you to less then 0. Good to know as it would have changed our game.
Still Looking for the other things we were questioning

In my game against Mike, Leap was absolutely the star of the game. Mike was able to attack 5 of my models with two dice each for only a single action. Seems OP that they get the attack even if they barely nick your base.
Seems OP because this is a game where most models have to be engaged to get an attack, and many buffs are dependent on having models in base to base contact making Leap super powerful.
I am looking forward to playing more, but I am starting to get worried about NPE.

That was the Specialist "Scourge hound" with its Bounding Flourish. As long as that model didn't start its activation engaged it can do the Bound Flourish up to 6" in a Straight line. You had those models all bunched up perfectly that I couldn't resist that. As soon as you got your guys in combat with it, it doesn't last long.

He hit me pretty hard with that Specialist as well, though he only really got one good leap against me against 4 Dragon Legionaries. That said if it was your shield girls you should have been semi alright unless it was more of Mike's crazy rolling. With Block being on 2-4, it gives you a 30% of rolling block. With Evasion (1) you can modify 1 and 5 to Block, meaning you basically have a 50% chance of blocking if someone cannot stop evasion. So while he has a 50% chance of wounding you, you have a 50% chance of stopping 40% of that. So the Hound only had a 30% chance of killing each Shield Girl, so with 5 of them he should only on average have killed 1 or 2. So the problem might have been Mike and his rolling.
But ya, as far as Specialist go the Scourge hound is pretty "Soft". Most specialist have 3 wounds, it only has 2. Also where Most models have a defensive icon on 7, the Scourge Hound has a strike. Meaning with out modifications, it has a 50% of taking a wound per attack. So anyone that can modify their damage track could easily get into the 60-70% chance range. Also due to 2 wounds one overpowered result kills them. So your specialist, the Ranthor guys that shoot magic, would not be a bad choice to try and counter it as they have good range. Or you can have the Bloodchild move up and fry it in a single attack due to his 4 dice. With a 6" range and 8" move he has a pretty huge threat range. With the rules online it looks like he can use his blast against models in base to base with him or anyone in range he can see, even if he is already in combat with another enemy. The only rule on magic is it all has to be against a single target, so no splitting up dice unless your rule says otherwise.
From my game against Mike I have determined you might just have to have a guy or two run off and engage the Hound before it activates to prevent it from leaping that turn. With its Mov7 it has to actually be able to get into position where its leap can hit multiple people. So odds are it is coming in either second or you might get a chance to engage it and stop its leep due to movement and sprint. Think of it like Early Malifaux where we all had problems with certain models because we had no idea how to deal with them *Like Raspy or old Kirai*
On one note, I found the actually rule for Engaged thanks to the rule for Unengaged. Only models in base contact count as engaged, even if you have a melee attack with 2". So there is no difference between being in contact with a model and engaging a model in terms of enemy models. So I am not sure why they use both termology, just seems like it is a byproduct of the rules being rewritten. Poor Editting.
From what I can tell though, if LEap's action is Simo like Attack Actions *Leap is a Special Action* then they all count as hitting at the same time, meaning your base to base buffs remain even if he kills models till the attack is done. If it is not a Simo like attack, then you can interrupt and kill the Leaper with certain defensive actions *I am betting it is Simo*.
Also making sure, yes you can only target enemy models with Attack actions, so we were right Mike and you can not compel your own models like it was Lure out of Malifaux. Also means attacks that hit everything in a line technically can only have dice allocated to enemy models *so flame breath on some models can be used safely*. Note special abilities though can target friendly, so if you have rules such as blowing up unless it states enemy models, you can take your own with you.

If it is simo, then that would have helped because I lost a model in the middle, so 'lost' my chance to shield wall. The shield wall did help overall, but Mike's rolling is crazy sometimes. The shield wall is also nice with Evasion, as it gives a chance to drop one hit down to a block.
Yeah, maybe I would have better off with Ashmen who prefer to engage solo, so I would not be so bunched up.

You can also use Evasion to drop a 10 to a 9, important if the other dice came up block. Your shieldwall people have some crazy toughness against things with two attacks normally. Just means squat next to crazy dice rolls.
Ashmen have the problem that no one wants to engage them Solo, that is asking for it. If anyone can help it they will team up on each Ashmen so that even if they fail to kill your guy, they at the very least will be two on one in any case preventing you from getting your bonuses. Don't get me wrong, they are scary one on one, enough that disengaging might be a better idea to regroup then fight solo against them.
The more I look at it the more I think it is Simo but as I said, they did not do a good job proof reading their own rules. I suspect it is a symptom of being the producers, you know how it is suppose to work and is suppose to read, where others might take things or need more clarification.
