There has been an awakening... have you felt it? Snagged these leaked images: How 'bout that boost on the x-wing?! Looks like that pilot's ability lets him/her use the 1 turn for it, too! Apparently these are not just repaints, but all-new ship types with new upgrades!

Looks like there should be a word in front of X-Wing. Something different on the TIE fighter ship name. Is that new upgrade a new type of astromech? Can't see BB-8's type. Lots of careful, intentional obscuring.

Yeah, the X-Wing in Ep. VII is a model T-70, which is probably what's in front. The TIE says TIE/FO, which probably means First Order, which is the new "empire" in Ep. VII. The T-70s can hold droids like BB-8, but I would assume they are a new upgrade type. The card back shown next to BB-8 is a new symbol; could be for the BB-8 style droids. I doubt the starter would include a crew as none of those ships should be able to have one. In addition, from looking at the admittedly obscured image of gameplay, it looks like the TIE/FO has four actions. I just realized the image of that I posted is rather small. Here's access to a better one, though I do not know how long it will remain: www.tabletopgamingnews.com/star-wars-force-awakens-box-set-leaked-for-x-wing-miniatures-game/

Right after I buy the starter set. It will probably be a while before this actually drops. Unless this is some sort of surprise release it won't be out until after Wave 8. We haven't even gotten Wave 7 yet! Man just realized you can't see the "Imperial" symbol on that TIE... Oh. My. God. EDIT: It does have a green arc, though.

BB-8 is a type of Astromech droid in the movie so I imagine it can fulfill that role on the T-70. I imagine it is kind of a nod to the Q7 series that were suppose to be used with V-wings in the clone war, though they used a Repulsor system so were more like VINCENT in Black Hole.
So the T-70 gets a boost action, people were debating between that or a barrel roll.
