The gifted ladies of Mrs. Torey's school are finally coming to Malifaux, but when word of this event gets out, the master of Malifaux are most interested in gaining new recruits.
This event will be a six week Shifting Loyalties campaign. The encounters will be story encounters, and tell the story of the ladies and their adventures in Malifaux. Starting crews will be 35 ss as per normal Shifting Loyalties rules but will be led by a Master instead of a henchmen. The following optional rules will be used in the campaign: Stay Dead, Good Doctor, Cut 'em Up for Parts, and The Wandering Relic. Each player will also pick one of ten new models to join their crew as the ladies of the school. The ladies will be the key to winning the campaign as you play to try and score up achievements for the them. Be sure to check out the story for the campaign in Monday section.

Question Antonio. As you normally pay for your leader in Shifting Loyalty out of your 35ss, and we are using masters which are all 15ss in Shifting Loyalties, does that mean basically it is a 20ss build plus your master?

That is a good question, I was thinking about that also. You have to pay for everything in a campaign, including masters, so that idea would be true. Everyone basically gets a 20 ss crew. First couple games are going to get wacky.

Noticed something in my Shifting Loyalty book last night on page 5, they have some optional variations one of which is starting with a Master. Looks like it works a little different *Being you know, Optional* but thought I would point it out in case you wanted to look see.

The Master is not counted against the total, meaning it is more like a normal game where you have your master plus the SS. So if you said a 25ss game then it is a master plus 25ss, IE masters don't count against SS level. In the normal game Henchmen and masters did not get their cashe added to the pool either unless the game was Master on Master.
So basically it is not super different save your crews technically start at a larger size due to masters not counting against your crew.

So I read over the rules and it does looks like you get the master totally for free. So everyone gets a master, 35 ss for a crew, one upgrade and one of the ladies to join their crew. As for picking the ladies, we will go in the order in which everyone shows up for the campaign, so the earlier you get there, the earlier you get to pick. If Lauren is joining the campaign (and I really have no idea if she is) she counts as showing up at 6:30pm.

Will be interesting. Still favor a smaller starting points if only because you have to get a new model every week, not everyone has the model count to back the 35ss starting and a couple more on top.
Oh the choices though...

So the rules for the ladies are coming along nicely. They will be ready to join the crews next week. As I stated before, the order everyone showed up will be the order everyone will get to pick their lady. So it will go this order unless someone doesn't show up by the time the games start.
