So we are on the last week of the year, I figured I put up a thread and find out what everyone's favorite event from 2016 was. What was your favorite event? Do you like Shifting Loyalties campaigns or more a league person? I am working on the events for Q1 of 2017 and want to try and make sure I am working on stuff that everyone enjoys. So let me know, let's discuss. Happy Holidays!

To be honest I do like the oddball story encounters a bit, if only for variation but then again I have played Malifaux longer than most for the Monday group. That said I did also enjoy playing the campaign though I would not mind playing one where you don't start with a master. If I had to say what I really would not mind seeing it a couple short events, so if people want they can change up their faction more. With several long events in a row you tended to get locked into a faction for a stretch each time.

Overall I had a lot of fun this year and you don't get the credit and appreciation you deserve for coming up with all of these encounters and minigames. My personal favorites were the Shifting Loyalties campaigns and the Halloween event. I love the campaigns because they inspire me to try new things and I'm forced to stick with them for an extended period of time. I have a short attention span when it comes to masters so being forced to chose and play one for a month or more does me a lot of good in terms of learning them. And the Halloween event was great, felt like a board game.

I like all of it. The tournament style stuff is my favorite, but the variety of events keeps things fun. I also like the one off weeks that require 1-4 models. Those allow me to use some different factions since often times I only have a few minis painted.
