I would like to give a heart felt thanks to Mike, Lauren, and Michael for showing up at Fauxmaha 2017. I will be honest that I am disappointed and little embarrassed that I can't not get more of my community to show up. When the Lincoln henchmen can come to Omaha and get people from Lincoln, Des Moines, and Kansas City to show up, and I can't even get half my community to show, I look and feel like a terrible henchmen. I am really not filled with confidant to try and host an event at the Bugeater in June. I know people get busy, and real life happens, but one day out of 365 is not asking too much. Oh well, it is what is it. I will keep things to Monday and quit trying so hard at other events.

Antonio, I sincerely apologize I wasn't able to attend. I was beyond frustrated that I could not attend this weekend, because I was really looking forward to it being my first Fauxmaha/Nukecon. I had traded weekends of being on-call at work with one of my co-workers so that I could attend. Unfortunately, her father was admitted to the hospital on Friday and not doing well. She asked if we could trade the call back. I felt compelled to do so, and there wasn't anyone else to trade with. I thought I would see how busy call was going to be Saturday and Sunday mornings, and when the calls starting rolling in the days melted away. I'm not trying to justify anything, but just wanted you to know that I really wanted to be there and will need to make better plans for the next event(s). I know my participation on Monday's has been inconsistent at best and wish that I could be there every week, because it's usually the highlight of my week.
I may not be particularly competitive in the game (yet), but I find Malifaux to be a tremendously enjoyable game. However, much of that enjoyment is due to you and others in the local Malifaux group. I appreciate all that you and the other members have done (and do) for the local Malifaux community.

There is nothing wrong with being a good person. Life happens.
