Location: Game Shoppe 4014 N 144th st Omaha, Ne 68116 (402) 991-8699 Dates: November 6th, 13th, 20th, December 4th, 11th, 18th Encounters and pairing start at 6pm Cost: A Wyrd miniature costing at least $11 The holiday are almost here, and it is time again for another Fauxmaha holiday event. This year will feature the not often seen Tag Team Malifaux rules. This is how it works: All players will need to create a 25ss Master led list, a 25ss Henchmen led list, and a 50ss standard list. At the start of the each event day, players will be randomly paired with other players and decide who will be the master and who will be the henchmen. They will then play against another paired team, or if there is an odd number of people that is where that 50ss list comes in. All encounters will be holiday movie themed story encounters picked out by three fellow henchmen. The winning team will then get to pick one of three options: Exchange minis with other, exchange minis with their opponent, or exchange their mins for the mystery prize boxes. At the end of the event, you keep the mini you currently have! Be sure to check here for the full Tag Team rules under Organized Play Formats: www.wyrd-games.net/resources

Are you are locked into those three lists for the whole campaign then? *Ie once you have what your three lists are you cannot change them through the whole event?*

And our three lists have to all be the same faction correct?
Oh, I am also guessing no Leader only upgrades on our Henchmen led list, as the Master will be the leader?

Sounds like a lot of fun!! I will be at GSO next week for the Killer Clown event. However I'm not sure how I'll be able to participate in the Holiday Event, since I'll be out of town for work the first week (quite possibly two) of November. Maybe as an alternate when someone else can't make it? It wouldn't be fair to a tag team partner, when I already know that I'll be out one or two weeks. Regardless, I'll bring a mini to donate next Monday.
I'm still waiting for Wyrd to publish the Alternate 'Young Michael Yunthbluth' miniature, that will make for an awesome gift exchange mini!

Nope, you can pick 3 different factions if you like, no limit there. And yes, you can not take leader only upgrades on the henchmen as the master still counts as the only "leader".

Pairing will be random at the start of every Monday, so you may never play with the same player twice, but that will depend on the number of players. I will also have a rule in play to stop anyone that shows up, gets a cool mini and skips out the rest of the league. Show up when you can.

Just a heads up, I am not holding everyone to the prize fee for the first week. I am really hoping we can get at least 8 regulars in the league so we can really do the tag team rules justice. Also, everyone will have to fill out rosters for your crews, which I will have on Monday. We will go over any rules and questions also.

Who is hyped for the event tomorrow?! Let's see some hype. I am still a little torn on what master to use for my 50ss list, molly or Seamus.

I will be interested to see what sort of combos end up happening, as you cannot plan who your partner is you will likely have some chaotic interactions.
As for the 50ss list I realized a few things when I was trying to think one up while relaxing and listening to some music. You will be up against 2 opponents with a number of advantages. They each have a hand of 4 cards so 8 to your 6 so while they cannot share cards they have more total. With the Master and Henchmen cache being combined they likely will have a decent size pool without sacrificing any of their hiring SS for it. Also depending on the Master and Henchmen you can even go over the 7ss pool limit. They will also have the advantage in "Size" as they get a Henchmen and Master *and their caches* for free compared to the 50ss list only having the Master *and their cache*. The only advantage the 50ss list has is all resources are consolidated.

I do plan on warning everyone of the chance for some very nasty combos. The solo list does also benefit from having a better core sync. The other two list will have at most a master/henchmen and 6 models if they forgo upgrades. Plus, two heads are not always better than one.
