It was brought up on Monday about running a 3 month Shifting Loyalties campaign, which I think is a great idea. Once M3e is out, Shifting Loyalties rules will be null until new ones are made at some point. The rule book does state a campaign can be 4,6,8, or 12 weeks long so that works. I would like to start off the campaign in January, start off the new year the right way. What I am asking of the community and the point of this thread, is to discuss what you would like to see in the campaign. Rules, changes, etc. Post it up and let's chat it out. We got a month to fine tune the campaign.

Personally I would like to start off with Henchmen if we are doing a longer campaign. Starting with a master seems more a think for a shorter campaign.

Anyone? Final Shifting Loyalties. Any rule you like to use, anything to like to see before it is gone?

I say no Hideout and no Doc myself.

Had some ideas toss at me from Dan last night. I also share the same idea in trying out more story encounters. There are lots of them, and we have not really scratched the surface of them. So that will be the focus I think. One final story...a tale of Six masters in a way.

Sounds fun to me! No particular requests. Love the idea of working the story encounters in somehow.

This sounds fun. I like the idea of more story encounters. SO, I will miss the next 3 Mondays as well. I have a mix of out of town for work with going out of town to see family for the holidays. After returning I hope to be back to playing 'Faux on a regular basis. Have fun, I can't wait to rejoin everyone!

Not to worry. There will be no gaming for the next two Mondays as well. You will just miss the first game of the campaign.

So I was going to start a new thread, but I figured I would talk about the new campaign here. For those that want to get started on getting ready, here is the basics. We will use the standard getting started rules here:
At the start of the first week, each player must declare a Faction and hire their starting Arsenal. Declaring a Faction is done the same way as declaring a Faction for an Encounter, only it will last for the entire Campaign. Each player has 35 Soulstones with which to hire their starting Arsenal. This Arsenal must include one Henchman which is designated as the Leader and may not include any Masters (the Leader is paid for like any other model). Multiple Henchmen may be hired, but one must be noted as the Leader. Any models may be hired into the Arsenal which the Leader may legally hire when declaring the chosen Faction. (Note: These models cost the same as they would in a normal Crew. For example, out of Faction Mercenaries will generally cost one more, etc.) A Crew may only purchase a maximum of one Upgrade at this time; it may not have the "Campaign" trait and must be able to be attached to at least one model in the Crew. This Upgrade may open up new hiring options for the Crew which it can take advantage of at this time. Each Soulstone not spent becomes one Scrip, up to a maximum of three Scrip (see Scrip pg. 14). Once all players have declared their Factions and assembled their Arsenals, flip for the first weekly event and then start playing some Campaign games!
The campaign will be 3 months (12 weeks long). This will be broke up in month of campaign and opening gaming month with an event that is connected to the campaign. The campaign will be focused on story encounters. Each month will be focused on one of the story encounter book, which the community will vote on. Other games will also be based on story encounters. There was talk about a map, and I decided to add that also include that. A map will decide which encounters can be played, if a faction gains a bonus, and also your rep there. The only optional rule that will be used is the stay dead rule, as it fits the story encounter theme well. There will also be the bonus for posting up stories as we did years ago. Over all, I am excited for the final shifting loyalties campaign and I hope everyone has fun.

There's an ambitious part of me that wants to tie in painting goals with this. That part of my brain doesn't know how time works.

Well, a paint along is also a good idea.

I'll be starting with some grey plastic models so I'd be down for some incentive to get them finished...
