Just as a heads up so everyone can get ready, starting in May, we will be doing a play and paint malifaux league. To enter, you will need a complete box set (metal or plastic). The models may be put together and primed, but that is as far as you can go in order to count it for the league. The league will run May 3rd until June 7th. Players will earn VP for painting models and from playing games. Every Week, a model from the box set must be painted and ready for Saturday. This is as long as I can run a league, so it will have to be a mini a week so pick a box set with that in mind. This will give everyone about 3 weeks to decide/save up/ get ready for the league. I am going to put a $5 entry fee on there so the prize will be a minis set to support your chosen crew. Put all your questions and ideas here.

I'd like to join this, but can only play every other weekend. Would I be able to post a picture of a painted mini for the Saturday that I'd be working? I'm not sure how to make up for the games I'd miss, either work out an alternate game day with somebody who has some free time? If nothing else, at least it is motivation to paint these things

You could still join in. Just paint up 2 models by the time you show up. I am pretty flexible with everyone.

I, too, know that I will miss one day.
I'm trying to get some others interested, as well. At least two are leaning towards joining, I just need to nudge them a bit more.

My friend's son wants to play, so the two of them bought crew boxes. Before the league starts we'll probably play a few games to get the basics down. Should be some good times, get the scene to grow a bit

Yeah, just make sure they don't start painting. The last day of the league is actually on a special day so there will most likely be a big encounter event to wrap it up. Plus the league starts on free comic day so I might run some demos and draw people in.
